Our Purpose

The collective mission of our organizations is to create a prosperous and vibrant community that is a great place to live, work, play and visit. Since March, we have seen so many in our community step up and do what is necessary to move through.

Now that our reopening is in full swing, it’s time to demonstrate that Greater Owensboro is open for business and that we will get through this time and become even stronger than we were before.

Our GO Forward Economic Recovery Task Force is led by the Chamber, EDC and Visit Owensboro and includes members of the local government, riverport, airport, school systems, local higher education institutions, workforce development leaders, and non-profit leaders.

Our Goal

Our goal will be to insure collaboration across the community to ensure that there are no gaps in communication or services; and to provide resources and a framework as we continue to reopen. Our ultimate goal is to continue the momentum we had before March and to continue to focus on becoming the best small city in America.
